When Scrooge is apparently killed in a factory explosion, Donald inherits all his money and the responsibility to handle his businesses. However, he soon makes a major mess of things. What he does not know is that Scrooge faked his death in order to find out if Donald was up to the task of taking care of his beloved fortune. The scientist who talked him into this, however, has plans of his own.
